Ce n'était pas une chose quand je grandissais, donc j'étais entièrement non préparé lorsque DD m'a informé tard dimanche matin, le lutin est venu et a laissé des surprises! Nous avons passé le week-end à mes parents, alors j'ai dormi pendant une demi-heure pendant qu'elle allait se blottir avec grand-mère et grand-père, ce qui signifiait apparemment qu'elle a attrapé sa tablette et a regardé des vidéos YouTube de lépreconnes visiter. Je lui ai dit, en mode maman de panique, que le lutin ne nous a pas rendu visite parce que je disais non parce que je pensais que le lutin était effrayant (ce qui était le mauvais coup, elle a crié). Je pensais que je faisais tellement de bien en utilisant du colorant alimentaire pour faire le lait pour son vert céréale, puis elle est allée sur YouTube! Je fais le Père Noël, le lapin de Pâques, et je ferai la fée des dents quand elle commencera à perdre des dents. Elle n'a pas commencé à remettre en question autre chose car j'ai apparemment ruiné le lutin. 0 Commentaire

Nous faisons le lapin, la fée et le Père Noël. Je trace la ligne à LEPRECHAUNS. - Nous ne célébrons pas du tout la Saint-Patrick. Je ne sais même pas quand c'est LOL.

Mon 2e année était bouleversé à ST. Patricks Day parce que nous n'avons pas essayé de piéger le lutin et il n'est pas venu à la maison. Je n'avais aucune idée avant que c'était une chose. Je lui ai dit que le lutin n'était pas le lapin de Pâques ou le Père Noël, il ne se contente pas de courir dans les maisons de tout le monde. -
Je n'ai jamais entendu parler d'un lutin bienveillant. Ma grand-mère m'envoyait cependant une carte avec un dollar. -
Non. But I’m one of those annoying parents who doesn’t do any fictional characters bc I think of it as lying to my child. Non santa, no Easter bunny, no tooth fairy. Nont religious but we do still decorate the house for Christmas and for other seasons and make things fun and festive. -
My dad helped us build leprechaun traps when we were little and it was fun. The leprechaun would leave a couple gold coins and turn a few things green; toilet water, milk, ice, beer. In elementary school the leprechaun would do some things througout the day, too. I do it with my kids, they love it! With my kids we added coloring on picture frames, chocolate coins (we had some from something one time and they didn't forget about it the next year!) and putting chairs in silly places. Ds's class tried to trap the leprechaun, too. He made a few messes and moved thing around their classroom. Voir toutes les réponses (1) -
Oui we do leprechaun traps and the leprechaun comes through and does mischief and leaves a note and a couple of small things. Neither Dh or I had ever heard of this but the kids brought it home from school and so.. why not? We’ll do any kind of magic or fun. I was talking to someone in the grocery store about it and someone else said everything is a holiday now I guess and you know what? Oui I will celebrate anything. We have our health and each other. I’m grateful and always ready to bring the joy. We just put up our Easter lights outside 🤣 Voir toutes les réponses (1) -

Ce n'est pas une chose où je vis. - Last edited 03-20-24 We don't sometimes we have corn beef on st patricks but that's the extentfor me. A couple of years back I did a craft box with the kids we made a leprechaun trap, which was fun and cute and the kids definitely remember it. This year ds came home from k on Friday talking all about seeing a leprechaun trap from his window with a string and I was amused, monday he came home with a little poor of gold the leprechaun left and a story of some mischief and failed trap in the class room which I also thought was really cute, and his teacher is the absolute sweetest lady I can find no fault... but I'm not doing anything like that at home. I don't mind doing special things but I am trying to be mindful about finding even more excuses to give my kids 'little gifts' I do little stuff for valentines next the Easter and all my boys have birthdays in March and April so I have to draw a line somewhere .... I'm thinking at some point Irish people might have decided they wanted their kids to think of st Patrick's day as more then a drinking holiday. I grew up with a lot of Irish people and that's what it stood for to me , we have super catholic Irish friends that flat out told dh 'oh I can't give up drinking for lent, st Patrick's day is always during lent' well don't deprive yourself by any means Edit wording Voir toutes les réponses (1)
